HARRISBURG, Pa. - May 20, 2008 - Tyco Electronics has recently released a new Locking USB product, which diversifies its Universal Serial Bus (USB) interconnection portfolio. This new locking connector creates an excellent interconnect solution for internal USB cable routing. The newly designed unique locking feature helps prevent accidental pull out of the plug, which enables customers to secure a cable internally without having to worry about the plug coming loose during transit and use.
Tyco Electronics' Locking USB connectors also meet the same specifications as standard USB connectors and are offered in either a right angle or vertical configuration. "We are pleased to release this innovative industry-standard solution to the market," comments Eric Himelright, Tyco Electronics' product manager.
